Apollo Circle Benefit 2011
Last night when the Metropolitan Museum of Art closed their doors to the public they reopened them for an annual event that is becoming known as the little sister to the Costume Institute Gala - The Apollo Circle Benefit.
The Apollo Circle—a Membership group for individuals ages 21 to 39—joined the Apollo Circle Benefit Committee in presenting the 8th annual Apollo Circle Benefit.
This black-tie event included dancing, cocktails, and sweet and savory treats. The theme revolved around the pop art movement of the 1950′s with bright yellow geometric lights shining on the walls and movie snip-its from the time projected on the wall.
Funds raised support The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Conservation Departments.
Music by The Misshapes got everyone on the mirrored dance floor.
Sponsored by Carolina Herrera and attended by over 1,000 young members of the Met as well as New York socialites and well-known personalities this event sells out year after year.
