As part of your event planning checklist, be sure to develop a decor schedule (aka decor plan). It will aid in your overall event planning, while also keeping you organized.
Once you’ve found the location for your event and developed your theme, it is time to develop your decor schedule. A decor schedule is a breakdown of what you plan to use for decorations, where you plan to place them in your event space, and who is providing the item (if using outside vendors).
The decor schedule ties with your event floor plan but is specific to decor – unlike the floor plan which maps out table placement, food stations, entertainment area, etc.
Here is an example of a decor schedule that the design firm Reform-Creative developed for the New York Junior League Bags and Bubbles event. Use this as a guide for your own decor schedule.
