Since 2009, Rolando Santana has been creating women’s fashions that keep the customer – the real woman – in mind. Last night at Exit Art he debuted his spring/summer 2012 collection.
The packed house included actor Stephen Baldwin, tv personalities Alex McCord and husband Simon van Kempen, and Osi Umenyiora from the New York Giants.
The collection focused on vintage white, gold, sage green and silver as a color palette with silk chiffon, cotton, sequins and beading. Rounding out the collection were the Manolo Blahnik shoes Rolando Santana designed. Every piece was gorgeous and earned Rolando a well-deserved standing ovation.
As far as the event itself I have to say it was one of the most well run fashion shows I have been to. The crowd lined up along the building and we were brought in for check in 5 at a time. There were at least 5 people checking in guests. They had the guest list on iPads which made the entire process quick and seamless. (Must faster than at the Tents when people cluster in a massive group around 2 or 3 women with printed out guest lists.) The show started quickly and the space had plenty of room. A 10 in my book!
