A Fundraising Idea to Help Increase Revenue

Use this letter to help garner donations for your fundraiser’s advertisement book

Here is an example of a letter you can use in hard copy or soft copy to solicit ads for an Advertisement Book which we discussed in part 1: Fundraising Idea: Increase Revenue from a Live Auction or Silent Auction with an Advertisement Book. Use it as a guide and make it your own with additional details about your event.

Dear (NAME):

As you know, I volunteer with (NAME OF ORGANIZATION), a group of over (# OF VOLUNTEERS) highly trained volunteers who contribute more than (X) hours of service.  We address (WHAT ISSUES TO DO ADDRESS IN THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDE THEM HERE).

This year, I am working on our (NAME OF EVENT) on (DATE).  Tickets go on sale soon and I will be touch about how you can attend this night of (WHAT HAPPENS AT EVENT, I.E.: cocktails and dancing, complete with a live and silent auction).

In the meanwhile, I want to inform you about an opportunity to support (NAME OF ORGANIZATION) and its very worthy programs.  All proceeds raised from the (NAME OF EVENT) benefit the various community programs supported by (NAME OF ORGANIZATION) – including (ENTER IN WHERE DOLLARS RAISED WILL GO).

Ticket sales go a long way toward this goal.  However, we also have an opportunity for you to purchase an advertisement in the Event Guide (NAME THIS ACCORDINGLY TO YOUR EVENT, AKA AUCTION GUDE) which will be distributed to over (# OF ANTICIPATED ATTENDEES) highly educated, professional, and upscale individuals at the event. It’s a terrific way to reach this audience.

I have included information about the ads and pricing in this email. I haven’t contacted you about ads in the past, but I believe so strongly in this organization that I wanted to spread the word on behalf of (NAME OF ORGANIZATION).
