The Fascination with the Fascinator Fashion Trend
Virtually out of use by the 1970’s, the term Fascinator is back in full effect. The headpiece, sometimes delicate, sometimes larger and bulkier (known as a substantial fascinator), is worn mainly by women. Given the amount of press they received due to the Royal Wedding of William and Kate, they are taking the style scene by storm and have become the fashion trend at recent US-based events.
Fascinators are worn instead of hats to weddings or as evening accessories. This fashion trend is the accessory de jour. They can be themed, as Kate Middleton proved when donning a fascinator in celebration of Canada Day, or matched according to the wearer’s outfit.
Grab a fascinator and hop on the trend train! Our two-cents…have fun, but make sure it goes with your outfit – either by color or style. Check out these fashionable fascinators.
And here are some photos of women and their fascinators.
Do you have a fascinator? What is your take on the fashion trend?

I love this trend! Ihave a black headband with feathers coming out of it and it gets a lot of attention in a positive way. Hair adorned with these items says “I am completely pulled together in all aspects.”
Now that I have a baby girl and have been dressing her in all her cute outfits, I cant help myself but to throw on the oversized flower headbands to her cute little head. Some say it is child abuse, I say its fashion at its finest.
Theresa from Housewives of New Jersey should weigh in on this, lol.
